We are seeking a Senior Industrial Automation Engineer to join our Indianapolis, IN office. To design, development, implement, and support industrial automation solutions for utility and manufacturing facilities. This role manages multiple concurrent projects, serves as the primary client interface, and delivers full‑scope automation solutions ranging from small process modifications to site‑wide control system deployments.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and all associated hardware, documentation, and software deliverables while serving as the primary client liaison.
- Translate client requirements into complete control system designs, including process control strategies, plant network architecture, virtualization, and software platform definition.
- Design PLC‑based electrical control systems by selecting components and producing AutoCAD Electrical drawing packages for panels, VFDs, and motor control systems.
- Specify and recommend instrumentation such as flow, level, and pressure devices.
- Develop programming standards, author PLC logic, configure HMI and SCADA interfaces, and install software platforms and application code on production systems.
- Support control panel assembly and field installation, including modifications to existing PLC systems and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot automated equipment and process control systems while providing technical support, corrective actions, and continuous improvement solutions.
- Prepare project submittals, including requirements, design documents, test protocols, and operation and maintenance procedures.
- Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Mechatronics
- Minimum 10 years of industrial automation experience.
- Advanced proficiency with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS systems Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5/500/5000, Studio 5000), Siemens S7, iFix, WonderWare, Ignition
- Extensive experience with Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, BACnet, DH+, Profibus, and Profinet.
- Expertise in VFD applications, electrical control circuits, PID control, and loop tuning.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical drafting experience
- Knowledgeable in electrical safety standards NFPA 70E, UL508A, UL698, IEC, JIC, CE, ATEX.
- Highly organized with strong computer literacy MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
