ACE Controls is hiring a Senior Project Estimator with experience in PLC systems, instrumentation, and electrical (I&E) projects to lead estimating for complex industrial work.

If you have quoted industrial controls, automation, or electrical systems, this role gives you ownership from scope to final bid submission.
What You Will Do
  • Build estimates for industrial controls, PLC/DCS systems, and electrical installations
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, one-lines, and control schematics
  • Price labor, materials, instrumentation, and subcontractors
  • Identify risk, gaps, and cost drivers
  • Work with engineering, PMs, and vendors to develop accurate bids
  • Own estimates through final proposal submission
What You Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in:
    • Industrial controls / automation
    • Electrical or I&E systems
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • PLC/DCS (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider)
    • Instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings independently
Nice to Have
  • Industrial or water/wastewater experience
  • Field background (electrician, controls tech, commissioning)
  • NEC / UL508A knowledge
