Position: DeltaV Automation Engineer (ISA-88 Standards).    Location: Dublin, Ireland.
PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the United States and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Science, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for an experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer (ISA-88 Standards).  This is a site-based role.

Role Description
  • The experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer will maintain and update DeltaV site automation standards, ensuring alignment with local and global automation library standards.

Role Functions
Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Maintain and update DeltaV site automation standards on site.
  • Work with Global Automation on alignments and updates to common Library standards
  • Develop control strategies using DeltaV tools (Function Blocks, SFC, etc.).
  • Design and implement batch processes using ISA-88 standards as required.
  • Configuration & documentation of (ISA-88/S88 standards).
  • Strong focus on batch automation standards for manufacturing pharma, biotech.
  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to align standards.
  • Must have good experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Work within regulated environments, delivering software under site change control.
  • Support Continuous improvement projects.


Role  Requirements
  • Degree qualification ideally in a related Automation, Chemical or Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer or other technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience with Emerson DeltaV systems.
  • Strong understanding of process control, instrumentation and industrial networking.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., pharma, biotech) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs and OPC communications is preferred.
  • Experience of ISA-88 Batch configuration end to end preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to formulate thoughts in a clear and concise manner to provide clarity and a path forward on any issues.
  • Must have a valid EU Work Permit and Irish Residency.
