Position Overview:
Our ACE Controls location in Humble Texas is seeking a talented and experienced Control Panel Wireman to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot electrical control panels. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and have a strong understanding of electrical control systems and wiring diagrams. You will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of electrical control panels for our clients.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and control panel layouts.
  • Assemble and wire control panels per drawing package.
  • Install components such as relays, terminals, circuit breakers, and fuses.
  • Perform electrical testing to verify panel functionality and troubleshoot any wiring issues.
  • Troubleshoot automation and control systems on-site, including PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and other control components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in the wiring process to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Document all field service work, including reports, service records, and system updates.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to perform hands-on service.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Control Panel Wireman or similar electrical technician role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, control systems, and panel design.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
