We are looking for a Technical Estimator to join our Business Development team in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for evaluating project opportunities, developing cost estimates, preparing proposals, and supporting the pursuit of automation, validation, instrumentation, and engineering projects.

What You Will Do
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities that support the growth of PACIV's Automation, Validation, Panel Fabrication, and Instrumentation services
  • Review project documentation including RFPs, Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, and drawing packages to develop accurate project estimates and proposals
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project execution
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop technically sound proposals
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and project-specific information
  • Maintain awareness of PACIV's technical capabilities, available resources, and project delivery capacity
  • Partner with Recruiting and Operations teams to align project opportunities with workforce capabilities and future hiring needs
  • Stay current on industrial automation technologies, engineering services trends, and industry best practices
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business needs and recommending appropriate PACIV solutions
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and professional networking events as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of technical estimating experience
  • Knowledge of Automation, Controls, Instrumentation, OR CQV Engineering services required
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications, scopes of work, and engineering documentation required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Interest in professional growth through networking, industry involvement, and ongoing training
