Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory & Shipping Specialist to support our Indianapolis, IN Panel Shop operations. This position focuses on inventory management, shipping & receiving, material coordination, and kitting within our panel shop.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in inventory control, ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), and material handling in a shop and warehouse environment.

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and works closely with the Panel Shop Manager, offering visibility into both warehouse operations and panel build activities. This structure provides the opportunity to gain broader exposure to how materials support production and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage shipping and receiving activities for the Panel Shop, verifying incoming materials for accuracy, condition, and documentation
  • Maintain inventory control processes, organization, storage, and system accuracy
  • Process and track transactions in NetSuite ERP, supporting real-time inventory visibility
  • Prepare, kit, and stage materials to support panel builds and engineering work
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory organization and workflow efficiency
  • Create and support purchase order requests for timely material procurement
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and align physical inventory with system data
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged shipments, and material issues
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Follow proper material handling, labeling, and storage standards
  • Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, engineering, and project teams to address material shortages and support timelines
  • Support additional operational tasks as needed

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 4 years of shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience
  • Experience with kitting in a manufacturing, shop, warehouse, or industrial environments
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 65lbs
  • Experience supporting electrical panel builds or similar shop environments is preferred

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $23.00 – $27.00
  • Paid time off, vacation, sick leave, and company holidays
