Graduate/Junior Automation Engineers will be responsible for industrial control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA and HMI) design, programming and configuration as well as existing day-to-day support, maintenance and troubleshooting of process control systems within our client’s manufacturing and process sites.  This support service will be performed working within the client’s automation department team.  At the same time, this support service will also include executing small changes and manufacturing initiative projects related to the control systems such as upgrades, process optimizations, expansions and any other related tasks supported by the automation department of the client’s site.

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Knowledge - design, specification, programming and testing of control systems (e.g. DeltaV, Foxboro, CLx, Siemens PLC), SCADA (FactoryTalk View, iFix, Wonderware) and HMI.  Includes control system start-up, troubleshooting, maintenance and support.  
  • Knowledge and experience in specification, design, development, and testing of industrial SCADA, DCS and PLC based applications, including S88 Batch, to meet customer requirements.
  • Willing to work in a team environment.
•  Knowledge and familiarity the development and execution of C&Q documents as well as CSV deliverables such as Planning, User/Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, Design Qualification (DQ), testing development and execution (Loop Checks, ULT, ILT, SLT) and Final Reporting. 
•  Knowledge of ISA’s S88 standard, pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment and processes desired.


Desired Hard Skill Sets:
    • Design, programming, implementation and support for control system/automation projects within regulated environment.  Senior engineers will require proven project management skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of all of the different control systems including distributed control
    • Knowledge of computer system life cycle concepts and FDA regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in electrical design, programming and troubleshooting of process and packaging systems.
