Support Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Projects

We support pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturers by helping deliver capital projects in highly regulated production environments.

We are looking for an Instrumentation Technician to join our Indianapolis team. This position supports pharmaceutical capital projects by helping manage, track, inspect, and document process instrumentation used in manufacturing systems.
This is a hands-on role that combines instrumentation support, material tracking, documentation management, and coordination with project teams. If you enjoy staying organized, solving problems, and working with technical equipment in a project environment, this could be a great opportunity.

What Is Process Instrumentation?
Process instrumentation is the equipment used to monitor and control manufacturing processes, including:
  • Pressure transmitters
  • Flow meters
  • Temperature sensors
  • Level instruments
  • Control valves
This position focuses on manufacturing instrumentation and does not involve laboratory equipment or product testing.

What You Will Do
Instrumentation Tracking and Support
  • Track instrumentation from purchase through delivery and installation
  • Maintain accurate records within project tracking systems
  • Monitor material status and provide updates to project teams
  • Help ensure instrumentation is available when needed for project activities
Receiving and Inspection
  • Verify incoming instrumentation shipments
  • Confirm equipment matches project requirements
  • Review documentation such as calibration certificates and compliance records
  • Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect materials
Documentation Management
  • Organize and maintain instrumentation documentation
  • Assist with compiling project turnover packages
  • Ensure records are complete, accurate, and properly filed
  • Support compliance with GDP and cGMP documentation requirements
Inventory and Material Coordination
  • Work with warehouse and project personnel to manage instrumentation inventory
  • Support storage, tracking, and distribution of materials
  • Coordinate shipment and delivery of instrumentation when needed
Project Support
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams
  • Provide updates on instrumentation status and readiness
  • Help resolve material and documentation issues
  • Support multiple projects while maintaining organization and attention to detail
What a Typical Day Looks Like
A typical day may include:
  • Receiving and inspecting instrumentation deliveries
  • Updating tracking spreadsheets or databases
  • Reviewing calibration and compliance documentation
  • Coordinating with project teams regarding material status
  • Organizing turnover documentation
  • Following up on missing or delayed equipment
  • Supporting project schedules and commissioning activities
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, technical, or project-support environments
  • Experience working with equipment, materials, inventory, or technical documentation
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to industrial or process instrumentation
  • Experience with equipment tracking, inventory management, or material coordination
  • Familiarity with commissioning, qualification, or turnover documentation
  • Knowledge of GDP or cGMP practices
